Joseph Carl DeCaro began his military career in active duty and ended it in the Connecticut National Guard. DeCaro was the sole combat correspondent for the famed 1st "Tiger" Brigade of the 2nd Armored "Hell on Wheels" Division, which deployed to the Gulf in 1990 for Operation Desert Storm. After his discharge, he joined the Guard and became a bona fide military journalist, covering peace-keeping operations in Bosnia with the 65th Press Camp during SFOR VII. A sometimes writer and college student, Joseph lives and works part time in Stratford, Connecticut.
